Help Tomas Family Recover from Lahaina Fires

My family has never been one to ask for support, but after these wildfires have leveled our entire town, we have been left with no choice.

My name is Kat and I am humbly asking for donations to support my family in Lahaina who have truly lost all of their material possessions in the fires that ravaged our town.

My family has been in Lahaina since 1994 after my parents immigrated from the Phillippines to seek a better life in the U.S. After 30 years of supporting my siblings and me through long hours of arduous back-breaking work in the tourism industry, this disaster has left them without a home, taking everything from our beloved backyard garden to the mailbox at the end of our driveway. They had been so proud to be able to afford a house that they could call theirs, that would serve as a place for so many family reunions for me, my siblings (Len, Nelson, and Rhon) and our young families. Just four months ago we were visiting the people and places that shaped me into who I am today. Those places no longer exist.

My mom, Leony, my dad, Leo, and my brother's partner, Haley, were living in the home before the fire and now are left without a place to call home. This nightmare is something we could have never imagined.
