New Karate Mat
Donation protected
I humbly am not sure how to express this or explain my feelings. As many of you know, we recently had a sewage flood caused by a vacant store next to us.
Our landlord has moved very slowly to restore our suite to a healthy environment so we can return to our indented location.
I was told that we will be up and ready to go in about 10 days; however, although we are paying full rent at our temporary location, they have refused to replace our mat and refund any loss of business over the last month and a half.
I have purchased a high quality mat even though I don't think it is fair. This puts our business in jeopardy. Although I have insurance for liability I was not informed that I also needed to carry damage and loss of business insurance. So in some way they might be within our agreement.
I made arrangements to move to our temporary location so we did not go completely under but I need your help! The studio is now about $4,500 behind, and although I could put together some kind of fundraiser to replace our mat and catch up on some of our losses, I am simply asking for donations.
Any amount would be greatly appreciated. However this turns out we will always continue business like we have for the past 33 years and will remain at our location after our landlord fixes the problems.
Thank You,
Tom Bloom
