Unexpectedly on May 14, 2024, Tommie Byrd gained his angel wings at the age of 55. Like many families during this time, we are devastated. He was one of those people we thought would live forever. He was known to light up a room with his smile, and his infectious laughter. He enjoyed making others laugh even if he was poking fun at himself. He truly brought light and laughter to every room he entered, even during the hard times. He was known to lend a helping hand, or the shirt off his back to help others in need. He was selflessly a man of God and always working to strengthen his relationship with God. He was a caring and loving father, son, grandfather, brother, uncle and cousin that will forever be missed. With all of the emotional pain and stress that death brings, it also brings financial strain. In this difficult time, we as a family are creating this GoFundMe in hopes of receiving support to help cover funeral expenses. Unfortunately, the financial burden of funeral expenses is more than we can bear alone.
