Tommy and Emily's wedding
Donation protected
Tommy would love the marry the love of his life Emily, but unfortunately, time is running out for Tommy, he is in desperate need for a heart and kidney transplant. Tommy's heart condition is dilated cardiomyopathy, his heart has swollen so much that it has torn the wall of the heart. Tommy's father donated a kidney to Tommy in 2001 when he was only 2 years old (https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/uknews/1330298/Father-gives-boy-2-third-kidney.html), and unfortunately, this kidney has now failed.
Emily went to primary school with Tommy’s friends. when she moved back to Boston for a short time, she decided to reconnect with her old school friends. One day a last-minute plan was changed to meet with an old acquaintance. This person brought a friend to make it less awkward. This person was Tommy and it was love at first sight.
Emily loves how he makes her laugh through the rough times and is constantly charming and caring. They then found out that when Tommy and Emily were babies, their families lived across the river to one another but had never met. When Emily moved to Spalding, she worked with Tommy’s sister. They had also talked for months on social media prior to their first meeting. This stopped because Tommy began having feelings for Emily, they met a month later. After being together for 3 years, Tommy proposed.
Tommy is now 21 and his doctors believe that Tommy has less than a year to live if he does not get the transplants he so desperately needs. The heart and kidney need to be transplanted at the same time. Two donors that match, coming available at the same time will be like winning the lottery!
