Tommy "Tug Boat" Richey taken too soon by Covid
Today Aug 4, 2021 my friends lost their son to Covid. With permission of Pastor Michael Richey and Crystal Thomas, who are parents of Tommy (Thomas Anthony) Richey, I would like to start an account to help raise money to go towards the medical bills and funeral expenses. Tommy was only 20 years old. As told by his father to me today, Tommy started getting sick last Wednesday, thinking it was just a stomach bug, Without displaying any major symptoms, Crystal cared for him during this time, Thursday Tommy woke up, felt better and he went to work. Later that day he started to feel bad again, he was then tested and came up positive for covid. Michael told him to go to the ER, but Tommy told him that there was nothing they could do at this point. With hospitals filling up in a 250 mile radius, Tommy had to meet certain criteria in order to be admitted, which as of Thursday he had not presented with any major symptoms. Tommy managed through the weekend with his mom at his side. Monday when he woke up he could not breathe, so now his criteria was met. Tommy was admitted to TJ Samson in Glasgow, Ky. There he had his family by his side the entire time, especially his brother's Justin and Aaron. He was unable to be transferred because the covid beds/units were at max capacity in all surrounding Metro hospitals. So today around 10am Tommy took his last breath at TJ Samson. Michael said the team there was great. It was also where Tommy was born. I remember ❤.
If you are able, please help this family out. Tommy was loved by many people! Our kids grew up together..it breaks my heart to write this, but I know they will appreciate any help in covering his expenses. God Bless you all!
