Help send athletes to the 2027 World Dwarf Games
Donation protected
Tommy Speed is a story about one dwarf runner's inspiring fight to be the f*cking best. But there are so many more stories to tell.
Tommy Speed is a movie we are making that documents my training for the 1500m and 100m at the 2023 World Dwarf Games in Cologne, Germany.
The World Dwarf Games is the largest international sporting event held exclusively for athletes with dwarfism. It is an incredible opportunity for people of short stature across the world, regardless of ability, to compete amongst their peers in a variety of sports.
Many dwarf athletes do not get the opportunity to compete at the World Dwarf games. The nature of a global athletic competition for non-professional athletes means that most athletes are left to their own means when it comes to traveling to the games, much less training for them.
As a way to promote Tommy Speed and help with production costs, we are fundraising for Dwarf Athletic Association of America (DAAA), whose goal is to develop, promote, and provide quality amateur level athletic competition opportunities for dwarf athletes in the United States.
The fundraiser will help DAAA send more American athletes to the 2027 World Dwarf Games in Australia.
For each dollar donated, 70 percent will go directly to DAAA. 30 percent will go towards the production of Tommy Speed.
We appreciate all of you who donate or are considering donating. If you can't donate, we equally appreciate you sharing our fundraiser on social.
Stay tuned as we provide updates about the fundraiser and the development of Tommy Speed (scheduled for release in 2024).
