Tommy’s LCH Battle
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Hope Sipe and I am raising funds for the Spradley family for their little boy, Tommy. This will help cover any medical costs that are to come with his treatment and battle with LCH.
Tommy was diagnosed with Langerhans cell histiocytosis, a rare disease/cancer when he was only 2 years old. Fortunately, at that time it was only affecting his leg. They were blessed, all they had were a few surgeries and routine check ups.
Unfortunately, a few months ago his parents started noticing a few things and took him in. After a TON of testing he was diagnosed with diabetes insipidus. At that point they then knew something had caused damage or was disrupting his pituitary gland and he needed more testing.
After many tests, Tommy’s cancer has come back. This time it has popped up in the pituitary gland and is back in his femur as well. His team of doctors believes doing chemotherapy for the next year is the best course of action.
His disease being as rare as it is has them with a lot of “unknowns” at this time. Their insurance will not cover the chemotherapy. As I’m sure some of you know each chemo session ranges from $1,000 - $12,000.
A session at a minimum of once a week for a year is unfortunately far more than they can afford. This doesn’t even account for any hospital stays, surgeries, or the medications he will need to take along side the chemotherapy.
Thank you everyone for hearing their story. They appreciate each prayer and donation.
God Bless,
St Peregrine and St John Neumann, pray for him!
