Help Tom Novak Get Back On His Feet
Donation protected
Tom Novak’s been part of the Wendy’s family for over 23 years. Currently he works at the Dublin Restaurant Support Center with OCM (Ohio Custodial Management). Tom has friends on every floor, in every department and in every walk of life. Kind, caring and fiercely loyal to Wendy’s, Tom is proud of his job and like many of us, believe our Wendy’s family is real family.
In January, Tom contracted a upper respiratory infection. The visit to Urgent Care and a script for amoxicillin was a life-threatening decision. Several days into the medicine Tom suffered a severe reaction. Tom doesn’t break rules. If this doctor said to follow his directions, Tom complied. He took all the pills for the prescribed 10 days.
Tom was hospitalized for a week and spent another month in rehabilitation. He has open sores and lesions in his mouth, ears, eyes and body. He has lost 60 pounds due to his inability to chew and swallow food. Earlier this month Tom moved back home and has in-home care visiting regularly, but as a single person he needs financial and physical help to get back on his feet, back to work and back to the Wendy’s family he cherishes.
This will be a long recovery. Tom needs financial help with his medical bills and his apartment rent. Every dollar counts in getting Tom back on his feet.
One of Wendy’s five values is “Do the Right Thing.” Let’s do this.
