Tom's Path to Healing and Hope

Our father, Tom August, experienced a life-changing event when he suffered a massive stroke on March 22. He was urgently life-flighted to Chicago University Medical for emergency surgery, where he faced two critical surgeries during his time in the ICU. After two challenging weeks in the hospital, he was transferred to a rehabilitation facility.

His journey towards recovery is going to be a long one, focusing on improving his cognitive abilities, speech, and mobility. While we are uncertain about how much he will regain, we remain hopeful because of his strong determination to get better.

The road ahead will be tough, both for him and our family, especially with mounting medical bills, as he will not be able to return to work. Any contribution, no matter the size, would mean so much to us.
