Tonal for Andy Dalsin -- MATCHING GRANT!!!
Donation protected
On July 28, 2023, Andy Dalsin dove off a pontoon to swim to the dock. He misjudged the depth of the water and was instantly paralyzed. Andy spent 11 days in the ICU fighting for his life. When he was medically stable, he was transporated to Craig Hospital in Colorado to begin four months of grueling therapy to relearn basic skills: feeding, dressing, transferring, etc.
Andy is a quadriplegic. He has no movement from his chest down, and his hands have limited mobility. All of Andy's medical paperwork say he is "fully and permanently disabled." Andy refuses to let this classification define him. He is working hard to defy the odds. His goal is to live independently. To reach this goal, Andy needs your help. Andy's therapy session are winding down. To continue gaining strength, Andy needs home fitness equipment. Strength is the key to independence. Our physical therapist recommends that Andy purchase a tonal machine. This cable machine has a small footprint, but Andy can use it independently. It will allow him to gain strength in every muscle group in his upper body. Overtime, he will become strong enough to transfer independently and even support his own body weight while standing with braces and crutches.
We are thrilled to announce that Andy has been given a matching grant. The O'Neill Foundation of Hope will match every dollar donated up to $2000! The cost for the Tonal machine is $4000, and the necessary accessories are $500. With the matching grant, we only need to raise $2500 to purchase the Tonal for Andy. This machine will change Andy's life! Please consider donating to help Andy regain his independence. Every dollar you give will be doubled thanks to the generosity of the O'Neill Foundation of Hope. Your donations are making a difference. Just the other day, Andy said to me, "Mama, this injury is closing a lot of doors. But, I have faith that it is going to open some windows too." I am so proud of Andy's optimism and his commitment to making the best of each day. Thanks for your donation to give Andy the tools he needs to make his future bright! You are HOPE!
