Tonga Relief Event

My name is Marcus Alipate, I am the captain of the Men's Tongan National Basketball Team and Founder of SMOOVE.

 

Recently, the Kingdom of Tonga was hit with a volcano eruption causing a tsunami that impacted over 84,000 people. Families lost homes, communication lines destroyed, and the islands left in complete ash. To give back to the island of Tonga and those effected by the Tsunami, Smoove will be hosting a Tonga Relief Event in partnership with the Tonga National Basketball Team, the University of Oregon and Morrison Market. The event will take place on February 17th from 7pm-11pm at Morrison Market in Portland, Oregon.

 

Our goal is to help the youth impacted by the event. To do this we are looking for clothing and shoe donations for youth ages 5-18 years old for those who will be in Portland.

SMOOVE will be having a brand exhibit showcasing our new collection and collab items with local Portland brand, Pluto, where part of proceeds from our sales will go towards helping those who were impacted in Tonga.
