Tonja Brown Memorial & Funeral

It is with a heavy heart that I share the sad news about the passing (June 1, 1973 - Sept 19, 2023) of our friend and former colleague, Tonja Brown.

 

Tonja was one of the most strategic, analytical, data-driven, innovative, agile and creative people we have had the honor to know — truly left- and right-brained and absolutely hilarious.  

 

Tonja also was known for taking others under her wing, mentoring many who benefited from her smart and candid guidance about how to navigate challenges and advance professionally. Her words of wisdom were sought after by MANY. 

As a behind-the-scenes strategist, Tonja didn’t often get a lot of public recognition yet she was dedicated to others.

 

We are extremely grateful for Tonja’s life and extend our deepest condolences to her daughter Ashley and the rest of her family and friends. 

Your contributions will be used for Tonja’s Atlanta memorial gathering, funeral and estate expenses, uninsured healthcare costs, and further support her advocacy for academic equality and development of students.
