Join us in supporting Tony and Colleen Nguyen as they navigate a challenging time. Baby David, their youngest son, is currently hospitalized, and the family is facing financial strain. Your generous donations can make a significant impact in alleviating the burden of medical bills. Let's come together to offer our support and make a positive difference for this family in need.

*UPDATE*
We are deeply humbled and grateful for the prayers and support that we have received during this difficult time. Your kindness and generosity have been a beacon of light to out family. Today will be the 16th day that David has been in the hospital. His health is steadily improving, but he is still relying heavily on the feeding tube and IV. The doctors are still working on finding the root cause, but the signs are pointing towards an immune disorder.

We know that we are not alone in our struggles, and we are so grateful for the community that has rallied around us. Your prayers have given us strength and hope.
We are so thankful for each and every one of you. We are truly blessed to have such amazing people in our lives. David says "I love you. I hope I get to come home for Thanksgiving. "

(From Tony)
So I guess the cat is out of the bag. Our youngest son, David, has had the longest few months that you could ever imagine. He's our only baby that has ever had trouble gaining weight.

We initially thought that he was just colicky. He would spit up at least one bottle a day. When it became too exhausting for Colleen Ngo (I guess she divorced me again on FB) to keep breastfeeding him, we decided to put him on formula at 4 months old.

After drinking less than an ounce of NeuroPro, he broke out into hives and vomitted. It turns out that he was deathly allergic to dairy. Trace amounts were in Colleen's breast milk. We tried to cut dairy out of her diet and put him back on breast milk, but that didn't work. There had to be other things that he was allergic to.

We tried putting him on Nutramigen. That worked great for two weeks before he began reacting to it. The same thing happened with Neocate. Two great weeks and then he began to lose weight. He was drinking more than 30oz a day, so it didn't make any sense.

We switched him over to Elecare before checking ourselves into the Children's Hospital. We thought that we were going to be there for a few days. It turned out to be NINE days. We were discharged with a NG feeding tube.

David did great for almost 3 days. But then it all spiraled down out of nowhere. We checked ourselves back into the hospital. We've been here for 4 days already. It's so sad that the smell of Baby Dove and 3M bandaids makes me think of him now.

Thanks to having such wonderful friends and family, we feel that we are about to see daylight. This little boy has been poked and prodded so many times in the hospital. And he has taken it like a champ. He had 15mL of blood drawn for testing today. (That's the equivalence of someone taking 3 cups of blood from me.)

We want to thank everyone for the love and support. The prayers are what have turned the tables. We know that we are so close to cracking this thing. Please continue to pray for this brave little boy. He has been the sweetest young man and we need him home for the holidays!
