Tony and Sujey Family

This is a Human Interest Story about a Deaf Family who appeared on Channel 10 News on August 30, 2023, a local TV News Station in San Diego. A Local Agency for the Deaf, Signs Of Silence, a 27 year old agency that provides resources for our Deaf community, is heading this effort up.

Tony and Sujey are Deaf Parents with 2 minor CODA Children, moved back to San Diego earlier this year 2023. They found a temporary place to life but that opportunity unexpectedly ended. As a result they decided, last minute, to respond to a house for rent ad through FB. Unfortunately this ad was a scam and they ended up losing all the money they saved for a new place. Desperately, they contacted Signs Of Silence (SOS) for help. They had already exhausted help from Family and everyone they knew.

SOS and the family agreed to take this tragedy to the airways and contacted several local News Stations and Channel 10 immediately responded and did a story It aired live and online on Aug 30, 2023. We don't really know our Financial Goal, so we set it at $5000 to start. This money will help the family get in to a new place sooner.

Currently we were able to get the family into a local Temporary Place through Hotel Vouchers and then into a temporary Facility through a local agency until Sept 27, 2023. Their journey continues until we can find permanent housing. Your Donations are certainly going to drastically improve their situation.
