Tony Caldwell after heart surgery
Donation protected
My dad recently just had open heart surgery. He has been a self employed carpenter for over 30 years. He is a hard working and loving husband, dad and papa!
He became ill with bronchitis the first of June 2022 and was not getting any better after a trip to urgent care. He went back to urgent care the morning of June 5 2022, the doctor thought she heard a heart murmur while listening to his heart. She decided to check his heart using an EKG and that showed that my dads heart was beating irregular. From there they decided that he needed to go to the hospital as there was something else going on.
There dad found out not only did he have pneumonia he had an enlarged heart and his bloodwork had shown he had a heart attack.More test concluded that dad was born with a heart defect called Bicuspid Aortic Valve. My dad now 55 years old and living thus far having no idea of his heart defect and doctors wondering how my dad even still living as this should have taken him by 35 years old. We now know if it was not for my dad getting really ill, he would not be here with us. We are so thankful each and everyday for god watching over him and keeping him here with us.
On June 16 2022, dad went under major surgery to have his Aortic Valve removed and replaced with a new one. It was a tough day waiting to hear that he made it through ok and that everything went well. So grateful that his surgery was a success and the he was able to finally come home on June 21 2022, after spending 16 days in the hospital. He is doing well and recovery has been going smoothly this far.
But he has been unable to work since the first of June and will be unable to for some time yet. With him being self-employed as a working carpenter and being uninsured things have been a bit stressful. Any donations would go straight to his medical bills and would greatly alleviate the stress.
Myself , dad and family thank you for any donations.
