Achieve Greatness: The Anthony Camal Foundation

Aside from being a loving husband and father to Liz and their girls, Jaclyn & Kayla, Sensei Anthony “Tony” Camal was, to many of us, a leader, mentor & guide. He was someone we looked up to, a hero- one who put his life second to others. Tony embodied the philosophy of judo: mutual welfare and benefit. Respecting and helping those around him, both on and off the mat. He held the spirit of a Bushido warrior - one who protects his family, his honor and his country. A long-standing pioneer of the judo community, Tony helped and inspired many with his authentic passion, drive and intense motivation. He believed in always putting your best foot forward, regardless of the task ahead. With this fund, we hope to continue on Tony’s legacy. Our hope is to provide fellow judoka with some financial support to continue their outside of judo goals of becoming a better person in society. These grants will go towards the betterment of themselves, whether it be towards tuition for college, a trade school, tutoring, or even a start-up business.
