Tony Hendrick
Donation protected
On October 22, 2023, we lost a very special person in our family, Tony Hendrick, to a sudden and unexpected heart attack. Although Tony’s hospital admission was brief, he underwent very extensive procedures and needed to be transferred to a larger hospital via helicopter. This has resulted in very high medical bills and now funeral costs, we wanted to help Mary Ann and Allen with assistance at this very difficult and emotional time as they mourn their husband and father. Any donations will be deposited directly to Mary Ann.
Tony was a deeply talented artist, muralist, teacher, husband, father, brother, friend. Tony was a gift to us all, a man who walked gently upon this earth, sharing his gifts honestly and openly with the world and living as authentically as he possibly could, all the while supporting and encouraging others to do the same. A keen observer of human nature and the creative process, he sought to allow life to flow into his painting and artistry to flow back into his life.
He loved being out in nature, whether it was hiking, backpacking with his son and brother, painting outdoors, walking the back lane with his dog to the sugar bush eating raspberries along the way, or just sitting quietly with Mary Ann and the cat. He recognized and appreciated the beauty and loving joy of an ordinary life of routine like feeding the animals, building a fire in the wood stove each morning, cutting firewood in the fall and so on. He adored playing with his lovely nieces and nephews and he brought this playfulness to his painting, and all that he did. Above all, his wife Mary Ann and son Allen were the axis on which his whole world revolved.
A seeker of life, truth, love, beauty, intimacy, honesty, and depth; Tony strived to live life with the peace and joy of a quiet mind and open heart, allowing life to be what it is, accepting it with open arms and being committed to the life of an artist, and to being compassionate, self-aware, and encouraging friend to all.
Your support to Mary Ann and Allen is appreciated more than you will ever know. The Hendrick family is one of the most caring and humble families and the love and support that they have received so far has been overwhelming. Please keep them in your thoughts and prayers as they are mourning and remembering Tony now and in the future.
