Tony Hurst

Thank you for all your prayers and kind words about our father, Tony Hurst. As you may know, he has been battling cancer for some time. With many ups and down through this journey. His suffering has ended and he is now at peace. He passed on Thursday August 3rd at 3:32pm with his two sons at his bedside. Tony was a second generation Apopkan. (Apopka, Fl) He started working for the City of Apopka and worked his way up the ladder to become the superintendent of Parks and Recreation. Retired from the city and even sold some cars for a short time. Actually was kinda good at it. Eventually his love of plants took control and he became horticultural manager at Lou Gardens, where he retired as well. He leaves behind his children Thomas, Allison and Aaron. His two grandchildren, Chase and Emma, and many other friends and family as well. With battling cancer and medical bills, things have been very tough lately. Because so many of our friends and family have ask how they can help we set this GoFundMe to assist with funeral cost and expenses. We appreciate all of you and any help that can be given.
