In Memory of Tony Nelson

12/18/2023- Tony passed away and is completely healed in the presence of Jesus!

Who is Tony Nelson?

If you’ve ever met Tony Nelson, you won't forget him; his smile is infectious and he always has a kind word for everyone in his path.

Many would never believe that Tony lives in daily chronic pain, because while most suffering makes people bitter, Tony's suffering has made him into an extremely compassionate man.

Tony was diagnosed with a blood disease called Sickle Cell Anemia as a baby.

What is Sickle Cell Anemia?

Sickle cell anemia is a genetic blood disease where your blood cells are abnormally shaped (like sickles) and are less oxygenated than normal blood cells, making it harder for them to pass through the body.

These sickle cells clump together and cause extreme pain. These pain crises can last anywhere from a couple of hours to weeks.

Just a few of the things that can cause a pain crisis are changes in temperature, exercising too strenuously, and dehydration, although a crisis could strike at any time.

When Tony was younger, the doctors told his parents that he wouldn't live to see 17, but miraculously, Tony has more than doubled his life expectancy!

Tony’s Family

Tony has been married to his beautiful wife, Candace Nelson, since 2016 and they have an adopted son named Isaiah. They also have a foster daughter who is in her early 20s named Tiara.

Tony’s Daily Life

Tony’s pain has escalated in the past 3 years, leaving him unable to work because the pain is unbearable most days.

Family and friends have been praying for a cure for Tony for many years and we believe that God has answered that prayer in the form of a scientific invention known as Crispr/Cas9 therapy.

This therapy was approved by the FDA on December 8, 2023 and Tony has an appointment with one of the leading doctors in Nashville, TN to discuss beginning this therapy.

Please join us in praising God for this miracle that could completely change the course of Tony’s life!

How will my donations help?

Any money raised through this campaign will help the Nelson family pay for travel expenses back and forth to Nashville, missed work, and any medical bills that insurance won't cover.

Please help the Nelson family so that they can continue to minister to others and join with them in praying that Tony’s body would receive this therapy and he would be healed of sickle cell anemia forever!
