Tony Nolan is a man who is known and loved in many circles. His family and friends know him as a loving man of God who would do anything to help you. When he talks to you, you feel like the most important person in the world to him. To the Brazilian Jiu Jitsu community he is known as Professor Tony, a respected black belt, instructor, and academy owner. His passion for BJJ, and his commitment to sharing this great art, have influenced and blessed so many practitioners that it's impossible to comprehend how many people he's impacted. To his church, CCV, Tony can be seen on the weekends worshiping and serving as part of campus security. He and his wife, Tracy, are respected small business owners. They not only own Pinnacle Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, but also own Pool Party-Pool Cleaning and Home Services. Tony and Tracy have 7 children between them, 3 grandchildren, and another grandchild on the way.

At 56 years old, Tony has the playful heart of a child, and the fiery passion and energy of a young man. He has a warrior spirit and a tender soul.

On January 12, Tony suffered a stroke while teaching at his BJJ Academy. Despite rapid recognition and medical intervention, Tony has severe deficits resulting from the injury to his brain. His wife, Tracy, and their children have been by his side constantly. After he is released from the ICU and hospital care, they will have a long road of recovery ahead which will include significant time and medical expenses.
