Tony's and Kat's medical bills

At the start of this year 2021, I made the decision to stop drinking and stay sober. After two years of heavy drinking, I tried to quit cold turkey, on my own, without medical support. This then led to an episode of alcoholic psychosis, and I was hospitalized for nearly a month. While hospitalized I was advised to attend a treatment center, which I did and successfully completed.

I am now nearly a year sober, and while I have met that personal goal, I and my family are now left with a medical bill that will take us years to pay off.

My family needed help to get me sober, and now we need help getting out of debt.

In treatment, we talked a lot about shame, and how it can prevent you from reaching out for help.
