Tony's Cycling 2021 miles in Spring 2021 for PADS
Back in September Betsy, my nephews daughter, was born with Down Syndrome. Tristan and Lea-Anne, her brilliant parents, are incredibly grateful to PADS https://positiveaboutdownsyndrome.co.uk/ for their advice and support that helped them get through the very dark and worrying times following the news that their beautiful baby daughter had Down syndrome ... and that support continues. Down syndrome can be met with a lot of negativity and stereotypes, which is why their finding the charity PADS has been amazing. Connecting them to other families where they can share their experiences and celebrate the highs and lows of their baby girl. So when I decided to do a sponsored cycle for a Down syndrome charity, PADS was our first choice. Betsy, like 50% of other babies who have Down syndrome has a heart defect and will need open heart surgery in April. You can follow Betsys progress on Instagram @bringing_up _betsy
Due to Covid regulations and that I live with and care for my 93 year old Mum, who has Alzheimers, I can't go away to do a multi day challenge. So instead I'll be cycling 2021 miles during the astronomical spring of 2021 (March 20 to June 20) from home, cycling around, up and over the Shropshire Hills.
It would be wonderful if you could join me in making a difference and make a donation to PADS (DSUK Positive about Down syndrome)and every donation will help. Thank you in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much to me.
