Tootsie’s Vet Bill Fundraiser

Hello everyone.

My name is Nathan Medrano. I’m asking you all out of the goodness of your heart to help me fund my cat’s veterinary bills. We are currently unable to pay for Tootsie, is currently suffering from a multitude of issues that we don’t have the finances to cover. Tootsie is incredibly weak and I don’t want to lose such an important family member to illness. Edit: To those asking what issues he has specifically, apologies for not putting them onto the original statement. Tootsie is currently afflicted by a UTI or urinary tract infection. The big component of the issue is that the vets, even after the x-ray, are unable to determine the specific area infected (unknown if it is the liver or another part of his urinary tract). While he is not currently experiencing blockage, he is incredibly weak and hasn’t eaten in a little over 5 days. As of this update (09/02/2024), he was given vitamins by the vet staff. While this does sound good, recovery for cats is incredibly difficult as well as expensive. The goal was established as it’d cover the current costs of his checkups as well as any future costs for the following days/weeks. Again, I think you from the bottom of my heart for already reaching 17% of the total goal. I am eternally grateful for your generosity.

Edit 2: As of this edit (09/03/2024), we have already reached 28% of the goal. Words can’t describe the joy in my heart to see everyone supporting Tootsie. Currently he’s at home, however sadly he hasn’t improved as much after his visit yesterday. While he’s a bit more active in moving his head around, he’s still lacking appetite and hasn’t eaten. While the doctor gave him vitamins for sustenance, it’s likely that he might have to be put on an IV if he continues to not eat. He has, however, been prescribed medication and we are in the process of acquiring the needed medicines for him. If any other changes in behavior happen to Tootsie, I’ll update the information here. Edit: Amazing news everyone! As of this edit (09/04/2024), Tootsie is showing great signs of recovery! He’s already moving a lot more and while he still has issues with eating, he’s drinking water out of his own volition and he’s already doing old habits that he used to do (like cuddling with your hand if you try to pet him)! He’s already getting better and I know it was all of your combined assistance and generosity that is helping him through this.
