Top Contributor Vendor Jamie

For 15+ years, I have been a supporter of the Contributor. a newspaper that empowers the vendors selling it to achieve income, dignity, housing and community. Ten years ago, I met Jamie, the red headed vendor in Belle Meade (corner of Kenner and Harding). Jamie is there rain or shine, and regularly receives the paper's top Vendor Award. I often stopped to chat and we got to be friends.

On Aug. 20, Jamie was hit by a car while crossing the street. (Note: this was on Dickerson Rd., not while she was working). She suffered severe injuries to her leg, required surgery and needs to stay off her feet for two months. A devastating blow to someone who makes their living standing on the corner selling papers.

Help me raise enough money for her buy groceries and cover her expenses. Even a few dollars will help.
