Top Mental Health Attorney Walks 84 miles for SMI Housing

Tax deductible
I am thrilled to inform you that a dedicated mental health attorney has pledged to walk across England – from the North Sea to the Irish Sea –to raise funds for housing the mentally ill. For Mental Health Month this May, Joshua Mozell, a top mental health attorney, will walk the 83 miles of Hadrian's Wall across northern England. The hope is that with each mile walked, we can raise money to build enhanced housing for the seriously mentally ill. Securing appropriate housing is a project Joshua has been working on for nearly a decade and benefits those most mentally ill. His initiative to raise funds for this cause is inspiring and impactful.

Supporting initiatives like this is crucial to promote awareness, lessen stigma, and provide essential support for seriously ill individuals who, at present, find themselves without a roof over their heads, unless that roof is a jail or prison. Securing stable housing for people with serious mental illnesses goes a long way to giving them a sense of security, stability, and the opportunity to rebuild their lives and provide a safe community housing environment for stabilizing individuals with severe mental illness (SMI), especially those with chronic and severe conditions. Currently, available facilities such as community psychiatric inpatient hospitals often cannot effectively stabilize individuals due to constraining medical necessity protocols and regulatory constraints, which contribute to short-duration stays. Without continued stable housing and treatment, these individuals may experience homelessness and imprisonment. Housing and treatment are needed to end this vicious cycle.

If you are looking to support Josh's journey and the cause he is championing, there are several ways you can contribute:

1. **Donate**: Consider donating to the fundraising efforts. Every contribution, no matter how small, can make a significant difference in supporting programs, services, and housing for individuals with serious mental illness.

2. **Spread the Word**: Share Josh's story and fundraising efforts with your network. By spreading awareness, you can help reach more people interested in supporting this cause.

3. **Follow Josh's Journey**: Stay updated on Josh's progress by following his updates on Twitter handle @josh_mozell. Staying informed about his journey will inspire you to continue supporting the cause.

By coming together and supporting initiatives like this, we can positively impact the lives of individuals battling mental illness and work towards creating a more compassionate and inclusive society. Thank you for bringing attention and, hopefully, donations to this vital cause. I hope that Josh's journey will be successful and will receive support from many. Donations are tax-deductible, and the housing provider is Copa Health (originally the "Marc Foundation").
More about Copa Health- In 1957, nine families came together to form an organization to advocate for those with special needs. Through the years, their services have expanded to include not only intellectual and developmental disabilities but also individuals with mental health issues. Housing, veterans' services, elder care, family support, integrated primary care, case management, and psychiatric care for Arizona individuals are all within this exemplary organization's purview.
