Top Surgery RECOVERY FUND for Paj

Hi, I'm C, and I'm raising money on behalf of my partner, Paj, to fund their Top Surgery in Canada.

Paj is a beautiful non-binary person with a brilliant, creative mind and a big heart for people and animals. They are truly one of the kindest, caring, and wonderful person I've ever met, with a passion to make the world a better place for all. They are also an amazing artist who loves to sketch original characters, create fan art, and experiment with colors and media. Anyone who knows Paj personally will agree with me that they light up any room they enter, and are friendly to every single person they meet. They are fiery and passionate, not afraid to fight for what is right no matter what.

Paj is seeking top surgery as part of their gender affirming care, but with only a handful of qualifying surgeons in Canada, the wait list is expected to be 2-4 years, sometimes longer. Because we also live in Alberta, our government is deliberately making it harder and harder for trans individuals to access healthcare they need to survive. We are raising money to pay for a private surgery, which can cost over $10 000, but once paid they can schedule the procedure within weeks. This surgery is incredibly important for Paj as their mental health is taking a great toll the longer they wait, and the effects of binding their chest for hours on end causes them daily pain and risk of ribcage damage. Their quality of life will improve immensely once complete and healed, feeling forever comfortable in their own body.
