Trav's Transition/PostOp Fund
Donation protected
Hey there! My name is Travis and I'm raising money for chest reconstruction surgery. I started my transition four years ago. My luck went from bad to worse over the years, from getting robbed to borderline alcoholism. Last year I made the decision to get my life together and start working on me. I moved to Oregon last year in hopes that it would be easier to get my surgeries there. This was not the case. While the surgeons and resources are closer, my financial situation is only good enough to pay my bills and minimal groceries. My mental health has taken quite the toll this year, but I am still trying my best. Between anxiety, dysphoria, depression, and being on the autistic spectrum, it's very hard for me to be able to get out and be able to get the help that I need. I'm really hoping this time, it works and I'll be able to get my top surgery. That's where YOU come in! By donating to my fundraiser, you'll be freeing me from my dysphoria, helping me be a functioning member of society, and helping the community. All donations will be going toward getting letters from therapists for the surgery, help with payment for the surgery itself, rent post surgery while healing and being out of work, and finding a new place to live in October. (Because let's be real. Nobody wants to get evicted right after surgery, and I really don't want to be homeless again.) Every donation helps no matter the amount! Thank you for donating to my cause. And thanks for being yourself!!
UPDATE: July 30, 2019
Thank you to every single person that donated to help me get my top surgery! I'm currently on week 2 of healing with 3 weeks to go! After that I can return to work and start re-training my body.
