Tordsen Family Medical Expenses

Hey everyone, I really need your help. My good friend Nathan and his beautiful family have been expecting their second daughter. At 29 weeks they had an ultrasound and discovered that there was no amniotic fluid for the baby. Savannah was induced on Monday, and Myla June Tordsen was welcomed into the world. Because there was no amniotic fluid, Myla's lungs had not fully developed and she can not breathe on her own. Additionally they quickly discovered that her bladder and kidneys are not functioning properly. Because of complications resulting from her bladder and kidneys, she will have to be flown to Omaha to undergo a procedure to try to "correct" this. If that fails, she will have to be on dialysis in Omaha for at least a year before she is grown and strong enough to receive a transplant. Myla is currently on a ventilator and will have to be breathing on her own before they can go.

At a time when most people are about to head home with there beautiful newborn, Nathan and Savannah will not have that option. They are left to wonder what is next? What do we do? How do we get our daughter through this?

I can't even imagine the pain and fear they must be feeling.

Nathan is one of the most selfless, hardworking, and dedicated individuals I have ever met. He works his tail off to provide for his beautiful family and he does everything with love and quality.

Nathan and Savannah are going to have to navigate the extended stay they are going to have in the hospital, while Nathan will still be working and will have to be flying to Omaha on weekends. I think its only right that we help this family out, lets take one thing off of their plate.
