On September 12, 2022, Toronto Police Service constable Andrew Hong, badge 7815, was shot and killed during the execution of his duties.

Andrew was a 22-year veteran of the Toronto Police Service and known as the "gentle giant". During the last 18 years, Andrew served with the Toronto Police Motor Squad as a training officer who trained other motor officers across the province of Ontario.

Andrew exemplified the role of a police officer. He was charitable and always gave back to the community. He was also part of the Canada's 911 Ride family as an escort officer.

Andrew has left behind his loving wife and two children.

This Go Fund Me campaign is sponsored by the Canada's 911 Ride Foundation. The foundation's mission is to help the families of fallen emergency service personnel, who have been victims of violent crimes; all funds raised will be administered by the Scotiabank, on behalf of the foundation, to further the education of Andrew's children.
