Torpoint & Rame Peninsular Lions 10k Walk

Hi my name is Lucas and I am 1 of 36 Scouts selected to represent Cornwall, in the UK contingent at the 25th World Scout Jamboree in South Korea, August 2023. The WSJ happens every 4 years and is the largest gathering of Scouts anywhere in the world; 50,000 Scouts will travel from more countries than are represented at the Olympic Games to live together, share and experience each other’s cultures as well as take part in a huge range of exciting activities.

Over the next 16 months I, along with the other members of the Cornish Contingent including 4 leaders, will be attending a number of training weekends to learn the skills we will need in preparation for The Jamboree.

Fundraising is a massive part of my journey to make this life changing event possible for me. To make all this happen, as well as group fundraising with the unit, I personally need to raise £4000, which I plan on doing by holding coffee mornings, quiz nights, tombola, sponsored Walk, New Years Day dip etc.
