Torrie James Needs Open Heart Surgery

My name is Brian Langlois, I am raising money for my sister Torrie James.

Torrie is a cancer survivor, a wife, and a mom of three beautiful children. She is going to undergo open heart surgery at the age of 45 on July 25th at UVMMC. Mid-April Torrie started experiencing chest pains and shortness of breath while visiting colleges with her daughter Carys which she ignored at the time. In the following days she started retaining fluid. This led her blood pressure to spike to dangerous levels leading her to an ER visit. The doctors then scheduled a stress test, the results of the stress test led to a heart cathaterization where they found three vessels that are each 80% blocked. The blockages cannot be stented because of the location. Torrie has had numerous visits to the ER due to many onoing symptoms and other medical problems that have arisen since May, greatly impacting the number of hours she has been able to work and will be out of work up to 12 weeks after surgery. Those of you who know Torrie, know that she has never asked for help even through chemotherapy (with no insurance) and multiple surgeries which may have contributed to her early onset of heart disease. Please help us ease Torrie's added stress with your donation.
