This is Tory and his youngest sister, the best of friends. On November 16th Tory had a Grand Mal seizure and was taken to St Josephs where they discovered a tumor on his brain stem. Due to the sensitive nature of the tumor and its location he was transferred to Tampa General, where he remained hospitalized for 5 days,undergoing numerous imaging, examinations, and bloodwork. Doctors wanted to determine if the tumor had spread and if he was a candidate for surgery. To date it has not spread. Although slightly larger surgery is now a closer option when it once was not.
But that is not all. Through all of this Tory has liver damage as well. The Doctors are unsure of the cause but he is currently being treated with some new medicine. If his liver does not respond he will have to have a liver biopsy.
As we all know healthcare, copays, medicines, procedures all have a high cost. What was once a $20 a month premium is now $300.00. His copays are getting up into the thousands. And with surgery in his future expenditures will be high. Every little amount helps. God Bless
