Eaton Fire, Help Mario Recover!

Our very close friend Mario Miralles recently lost his home in Altadena, CA. in the devastating fires that are ravaging Los Angeles county! When evacuated he was only able to save a few personal items and most of the musical instruments, but everything else was lost including his household effects, clothes, and his array of tools, shop equipment, and exotic woods that supported his profession as a world-renown Luthier for orchestral string instruments.

My name is Luke and I reside in San Diego, CA. I am on the Board of Directors for Crestline Soaring Society and I have been entrusted by our pilot community to organize this fundraiser. I've been lucky to fly with Mario at our Crestline flying club and count him as a close friend among so many other pilots who know Mario from around the world. I'm asking the Hang Glider Pilot community and all other friends to band together to support Mario in this difficult time. We are raising these funds to help provide Mario some immediate relief, knowing that insurance won't ultimately cover all losses or expenses he faces. All funds raised will go immediately and directly to Mario to help him purchase new personal items for basic living needs and assist him in rebuilding his Luthier workshop.

Mario has touched so many lives literally across the globe, spanning social & professional circles among Hang Glider Pilots to Symphony Orchestra Professional Musicians. He is by far one of the most genuine, intelligent, and kindest souls I have ever had had the pleasure of calling a friend... I'm certain that everyone who knows him feels the same as we do among our Southern California band of hooligan Hang Glider Pilots. Please join us in showing our compassion, empathy, and appreciation for Mario by helping him get back on his feet as quickly as possible!
