Pinkins Family Total Loss in Mississippi Tornado

Donation protected
Hi my name is Lenora Winn. On March 24, 2023, a number of my family members’ homes in Rolling Fork, Mississippi were completely decimated by a Category EF4 Tornado that essentially wiped out their entire city.

My family has a long history with farming. As farmers, loss and unpredictability are no stranger to us. We always found a way to rally amongst ourselves and adjust to our losses. For decades, we lived on family property in a row of homes situated in the middle of a cotton field on the South end of Rolling Fork.

We hunted, fished, farmed, gardened and took home repairs and maintenance into our own hands. But this storm was too catastrophic, leaving 10 families amongst piles of rubble and devastation.

We are emotionally exhausted from grief, as we lost one family member to this storm, and concern for two others who are hospitalized.

100% of donations to this fund will go directly to 10 families, ages 2-months to 77 years-old. The contributions will help recover their homes and basic living expenses. Words cannot express the outpouring of prayers, support and donations. My family is overwhelmed with gratitude for the kindness that has been shown to them.
