Totaled car and damaged piano

Hi everyone, it’s Joey. Last night on a way to a gig my car got totaled and the impact was so hard it bent and damaged my piano. It cannot be repaired.
I was almost to the gig and my GPS stopped working. I made a left turn into a Sherman Williams to fix it. I got it reprogrammed and it was telling me to cross the highway and merge onto another road. I checked both ways and did it again to make sure. I pulled out and out of nowhere a GMC big cab pickup truck was speeding towards me and T-boned me from the right side. My car spun around three times and ended up on the median. His truck was in the right lane where he had hit me.
I I sat there dazed for a moment and tthen took a quick self evaluation to see if I was injured. Somehow I was shook up but not injured. I got out of the car and saw the other driver and asked him if he was okay. He was.
The police arrived and started working the scene. The got my license and Insurance information and went off to verify it. As fate would have it I was only a block from the club. Jeff drove his truck to the scene and we loaded all my stuff into it which pleased the officers working the scene because their main concern was to clear the scene. I didn’t get a ticket but the officer said that I was the one at fault. I explained to him I checked both ways twice and he came out of nowhere. I further told him that I suspected that he was speeding and distracted but to no avail. I don’t have comprehension on the car, just the minimum. If I’m at fault I don’t get compensation from the other driver’s insurance. I’m going to contest the decision but I need another car now. He told me the police report would be available Monday and walked away.
The tow trucks showed up and cleared the scene. I rode to the club with Jeff and set up. The club had a piano they loaned me so I was able to play the gig.
I am trying not to feel sorry for myself. I’ve had a streak of bad luck. But I look at it like this. I’m alive. I’m not injured nor was anyone else. I believe that God was looking out for me and as bad as it may seem, there is a solution for every problem.
I have no other choice but to turn to you, my friends. My dad is on Social Security and the rest of my family is just keeping their head above water. Please donate what you can. Every little bit helps. I’m embarrassed and humbled to have to ask you for this. But when I had my brain surgery my friends came through in a big way. I hope you can help me through my emergency now again. I love you all and I have been so lucky and it’s going to take us all now to help.
The money is going to buy a used car. To buy another piano used. To pay expenses and bills that arise from this accident.
