Touch Paul Bellini

On Friday Oct 25th our good friend Paul Bellini went into the hospital for hernia surgery, which was expected to be routine. Sadly, there were complications and Paul experienced profound reactions post operation. He has been in the hospital, in critical condition and on life-support, ever since.

While the prognosis for recovery is currently positive Paul has been left incapacitated and unable to work. Doctors tells us Paul will probably not be able to return to his various jobs for a minimum of three months and, as many of you know, being ill and convalescing are prohibitively expensive.

We are in desperate need of funds to support Paul during his time of need. I know many of you have enjoyed his work over the years and his amazing ability to make us laugh. I also know he has made himself available for more guest appearances and fundraisers with an unprecedented good humour and generosity than most people will do in a lifetime. 

So if you are one of those people who has been touched, through laughter and good-will, by Paul over the decades now is your chance to return the favour. The Kids in the Hall used to feature a spot called "Touch Paul Bellini". Now is your opportunity to do exactly that for real. Please make a contribution of whatever you can afford and touch Paul's heart. I know he will be deeply affected by your generosity and concern.

Please note- Paul, of course, is desperate to see his friends and fans but the hospital and the family have asked well-wishers to stay away until he is sufficiently recovered to deal with the excitement.
