Touchdown for Howard Reinard!

 

Hello to All,

Our family is experiencing the most unimaginable time we have ever faced. Howard Reinard, my father, and his wife Kelly (Sara) Reinard were diagnosed with COVID 19 on Friday, October 8, 2021. Both had received the Johnson & Johnson shot and took extra precautions as they went about their daily lives. As the days went by, my dads symptoms continued to worsen. By Monday morning, October 11th, Kelly had no choice but to call for an ambulance. Upon arrival at the hospital it was determined that he had very severe COVID 19 pneumonia and was immediately sent the ICU where he remains today.

 

My dad has made such an impact on the Chester County community. If you have had the pleasure to meet him, you have seen that he is the most kind, gentle and friendliest man that you could ever encounter. He started teaching 6th grade at East Ward Elementary School in the 70's where he was known for many wonderful antics but unforgettably was his tie flipping! Dad was also the director of Camp Linden in West Chester. He played a major role in helping inner city children experience the beauty of nature. In addition to teaching and running the camp, dad has also been a football official for the local PIAA football league. You may have seen him on the field as he has been officiating for almost 50 years! After retiring from the DASD, Dad began working as a courier for the Chester County Intermediate Unit. He loves making deliveries and being a part of the Academic Competition.

 

Currently, my dad remains in the ICU, and Kelly, while testing negative for COVID now, is unable to return to work. To help alleviate some of the financial hardship that they are going to endure it is our hope that we can raise funds to pay for medical expenses, housing, food and other necessities. Please do not feel obligated in any way to participate but know that every donation for Howard and Kelly is greatly appreciated.

 

We know that this process is all part of God's playbook and that each play will take lots of work, but every day we look for even an inch closer to the touchdown of dad coming home!
