Tour de aky

This is the 7th year that tour de aky has been active.

the event is a charity cycle event in memory of an amazing person mick “Aky”Atkinson who sadly took his own life in October 2018 after losing a battle with mental health, a battle that even the closest to didn’t know he was facing.

cyclist will ride 106.6miles (aky North Yorkshire police collar number) and pass/ visit locations that have meaning to him.

This year we are raising funds for 3 amazing charities of

ANDYS MAN CLUB

MENFULNESS

Whilst also trying to raise awareness into mental health and promote people talking.

this year we have a junior ride in which young cyclist will cycle 10.66miles

a golfing day and join with “COPS N PLODDERS”

Whi will be completing :

Truncheon Relay 2024 - , a truncheon (bespoke design) will be carried by folk running, cycling, walking, paddle boarding & kayaking. Each person doing a leg & passing the truncheon on to the next, covering over 430miles in total around North Yorkshire.

Cops n Plodders was started over 5yrs ago now, the intention to encourage and inspire people to get out into the open air for all its benefits.

There we encourage folk to laugh, smile, talk and be a listening ear for someone who needs it.

every penny raised will go to the amazing charities.
