Tour De Aky supporting 3 amazing charities
Donation protected
Hi, in October 2018 Mick "Aky" Atkinson a North Yorkshire Police Dog handler PC1066 sadly took his own life, after a battle with mental health, a battle that even his closest friends didn't know he was facing.
Since then a charity bike ride was set up in his memory dubbed "Tour De Aky." Cyclists cover a distance of 106.6miles (his collar number) going to locations that have meaning to Aky such as homes, workplaces and sporting venues.
Along with trying to raise awareness of mental health we also support and raise funds for 3 fantastic charities MIND, YORKSHIRE AIR AMBULANCE & ANDYS MAN CLUB.
This year will be the 5th year cyclists have taken on the Tour De Aky challenge taking place this year in Leeds on 15th July (Akys Birthday)
Also along with Tour De Aky this year will be the debut for the JUNIOR Tour de Aky on 10th June where children from the age of 5 will cycle 10.66miles with the same objective of rasing money for these amazing charities.
Every penny helps and I thank you for your donations
