The Trussell Trust supports a network of over 1300 food bank centres - working to tackle food poverty nationwide and campaign for change to end the need for food banks in the UK. Over the past year they have encountered unparalleled levels of demand due to the rise in basic living expenses. Once intended to provide short term support, food banks have been accessed by nearly 3 million people across the country over the past year.
