CLB Regimental Band Tour of Honour
In 2016, the CLB Regimental Band plans to embark on the "Tour of Honour" - a twelve-day tour of the battlefields of France to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Battle of Beaumont Hamel and honour the sacrifice of the Newfoundlanders who did not return from the Great War. This project is the largest fundraising initiative ever undertaken by the Band.
The CLB Regimental Band has been a prominent fixture in and around the City of St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador, for over 120 years, participating in numerous civic, military and other ceremonies and events each year. The Band is 100% volunteer and exists to support the work of the CLB (Church Lads' Brigade), an historic youth organization founded in England in 1891, in guiding young people toward being successful leaders in their community.
