Revised: Tow Company Safety and Traffic
Think about this in your future: a fleet of tow trucks circulating 7 days a week
at all times of the day and night through our residential streets.
Let’s prevent this nightmare.
Representatives Mike Moran and Kevin Honan and Councilor Breadon are backing and contributing to this cause.
We need your donation to help pay for an appeal already filed to the Superior Court to reverse a Boston Zoning Board of Appeal (ZBA) decision that harms this community by allowing a tow company to operate at 372 North Beacon Street (corner of Parsons and North Beacon/Birmingham Parkway).
The following harms will occur if the ZBA decision is NOT overturned:
• Your safety and the safety of your family/friends and neighbors
• The safety of children, pedestrians and bicyclists on our residential streets,
including Parsons and Brooks
• Significantly increased traffic delays on our already congested residential streets
• An ugly eyesore at a prominent corner that soon will be adjacent to a new DCR Pool and significantly expanded green space along the Charles River.
All donations will only be used for legal costs. Donations of any amount are deeply appreciated.
By making a donation, you are showing the owner of the property and the tow company that we are willing to fight
to protect this community.
If you have any questions, please contact Chuck McGilvray via Facebook Messenger or Kevin M. Carragee via [phone redacted].
A Few Facts About the Proposed Tow Lot
The tow lot will have parking for 69 cars and 13 large tow trucks, despite reservations expressed by the Boston Traffic Department about the lot’s size.
The towing company has an exclusive contract with the City for towing in all of Allston-Brighton, including for street cleaning. It also has a State Police contract for towing.
