Towards Ava & Aliyah’s Brain Hub therapy sessions

Hi my name is Tash

I’m a mother to two beautiful girls Ava and Aliyah. My girls are the most loving and deserving girls ❤️. Ava and Aliyah are both on the spectrum, Ava is ASD level 2 with global development delay and Aliyah is level 3 ASD/ADHD and also has global development delay. I do my absolute best at ensuring my girls enjoy life by giving them a safe space to learn, patience to feel free to express themselves in what ever way helps them regulate and feel at ease. I am constantly educating myself and implementing strategies and advice from our specialists in our everyday life so that I can give my girls the best opportunity possible for progress and development, but an overall a happy and healthy life ❤️.

I give the girls my absolute all !

I am happy if they are happy, absolutely bloody stressed when they are feeling stressed or upset. They are my priority.

my life literally revolves around my girls, and I am literally nothing without my babies, they have taught me what love really is, to never judge anyone because you have no idea what they could be going through. To help others whenever and however I can.

Ava and Aliyah deserve to live their life to the their maximum potential, this is why I’m doing a GOFUNDME.

Every dollar donated will go towards my girls non invasive therapy at BrainHub. I have been trying for the past three years to get NDIS to approve the funding for MERT, regardless of the referrals and support from our therapists to approve this funding as it will benefit the girls, it has always been declined for various reasons ( main one being that we live in SYD and it’s located in QLD) also if anything the girls funding has become less and less over the years, which has made it challenging at times to keep their spot at certain clinics as they’ve had to let our spot go, because we couldn’t afford weekly sessions. This was Absolutely heart breaking, as their mother I felt like my girls were being denied and rejected.

As the girls needs are very high, regular and more frequent therapy will be more beneficial to give the girls the best chance at having a better future.

Currently reviewing the girls fund so they take into consideration our current circumstances and approve the therapy and support services that is desperately needed.

Thanks to some beautiful mothers who also have children on the spectrum, have made me aware of a very similar therapy that MERT offers, at Brain Hub which is located in Sydney and not as expensive. Brain Hub therapy starts from $390 per session and have not figured out how many sessions the girls will need at this point.( pending consultation)

edit: have reviewed the girls funds and they basically won’t allow much funds to go towards this therapy if anything they’ve reduced the flexibility of the funds and allocated majority of their funding to go towards what they recommend instead.. the total cost of the Brain Hub therapy for just one of my girls for the 2 week intensives will cost $5920 !! So in totally the girls intensives alone will come to $11840 as well as intensives the girls will have 6 weeks of 2 hr sessions a day,4 days a week of therapy at BrainHub to ensure the therapy has helped. This cost I will be able to put money towards from their NDIS funding and still be able to have fortnightly OT/Speech therapy ( mandatory according to their plan)

It feels un natural for me to ask anyone for help, I hate even asking my family for help when I’m struggling with my girls even if I’m running off no sleep,

But this isn’t for me it’s for my girls and they honestly, honestly deserve everything in life ❤️.
