Town Family Emergency Fundraiser
Donation protected
It is with a heavy heart that I write this. Yesterday at 6 pm, Todd and Sandra Town, parents of my dear friends, were involved in a fatal car crash on I-86. Todd and Sandy were on their way to dinner when a car traveling at high speeds, going the wrong direction, hit their vehicle head-on. Sandy was flown to UPMC Hamot where she was taken immediately into surgery. Todd, unable to be taken via helicopter due to injuries sustained, was rushed to UPMC Chautauqua. Tragically, Todd was unable to recover.
Surrounded by family, their kids, Ashley, Joe and Nikki, are doing the unimaginable; fighting for their mom while they simultaneously grieve the loss of their dad.
At this time, Sandy is in a medically induced coma. She has undergone two surgeries in the last 24 hours. She is suffering from a broken back, broken ribs, broken nose & facial bones, injury to her lungs, broken ankle and a broken leg.
This is hard news to make sense of, especially for anyone who knows the family and this fun and lively couple. Family is everything to them and I know right now, their worlds have fallen apart.
So many of us are wanting to know what we can do. Many expenses lay ahead as the family stays close to Erie during this time. Travel and accommodations as well as medical and funeral expenses are a way we can help. Whether you feel moved to contribute or can simply share this page, any support you would like to give is deeply appreciated as our hearts hold space for, roots for, and grieves with this beautiful family.
