Tpr. Chris Haywood On-Duty Injury Fund

Donation protected
My name is Erik and I am Trooper Chris Haywood's shift partner.

On the night of January 17, 2021, Tpr. Haywood was out on patrol for his shift.  While out patrolling, he was struck by a motorist.  The motorist crossed over the center lane and struck Tpr. Haywood's patrol vehicle head on causing significant injuries.

As a result of the crash, Tpr. Haywood sustained a complete fracture of his femur and multiple lacerations to his hands and head.   Tpr. Haywood has been released home from the hospital after surgery and has a long road of recovery ahead of him.

Tpr. Haywood has been a State Trooper for almost 22 years and on the night of the crash, he had only 15 months left until his retirement.  Tpr. Haywood is also a proud Marine Corps veteran.

The injuries Tpr. Haywood sustained are potentially career ending and will be devastating to his retirement plans.

I ask for any donation to help ease the financial stress and burdens while Tpr. Haywood goes through extensive physical rehab and assist him in the next steps for a potential career ending injury.
