Help firefighter Michael O'Neil fight cancer
Donation protected
Michael O'Neil is a father of 3 and grandfather of 6. He is the last person to ask for help and always the first to help others
Michael became a volunteer firefighter for Old Saybrook back in 1989. With having a few different careers he has always found his passion in helping others. Now its our turn to give back.
Michael, was recently diagnosed with Stage 3, Advanced Nodular lymphocyte-predominant Hodgkin Lymphoma. With a global pandemic happening it was recommended that he stop work in order to prepare for chemo, that will start in the beginning of the year. He will be out of work for 6 months. The reality is that many cancer patients are having to worry about feeding their family, having a roof over their heads, keeping the lights on, keeping up with car payments, and paying for medications. They have no desire to put their family in any type of stress, so many of them take the financial burden upon themselves. Unfortunately, when families are dealing with cancer, real life and real expenses do not stop. On top of treatment and medical care, there are still bills to pay and groceries to buy.
We have also set up a Venmo account: #helpfightcancer06475
We would like to thank everyone for their ongoing support. We will use this platform to keep everyone updated.
