Meningioma Brain Tumor

In 2008 our mom, Andrea Myers, was diagnosed with a Meningioma Brain Tumor. Since the intial diagnosis and montoring it has created swelling and irritation around the tumor resulting in needing surgery to remove it. The tumor although benign has been causing several headaches. The last headache lasting 48 days straight, 6 trips to the ER, a trip to Dallas for nerve blocks all which only allowed temporary relief. She is now scheduled to have the tumor removed on Sept 14, 2015 at MD Anderson in Houston.
Since our parents are very prideful and will not ask for help we (Ashley, Dakota and Sterling) are trying to help them as they have helped us all our lives. We know they don't ask for much so we are trying to do this with out them knowing to return the favor through this very stressful and scary situation. Our mom has been on short term disability since Mid June and our dad has been working as much as possible to help and just maintain everything. We will be traveling to Houston and will at least be there 8 days. We will have some out of pocket to still meet for insurance, traveling expenses and lodging for the time our mom is hospitilized.
