Home Destroyed by Hurricane
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Sarah and I am trying to help our dear friend Donna Ulander through her time in crisis. Donna is a long-time dog groomer from Pa and has lived in Punta Gorda, Fl. for several years now. She is an active member of the PG Elks and a lifetime member of the Moose.
Donna lost her home in Hurricane Ian. After taking shelter in a closet in the first half of the storm with her Yorkie Munch, she and her son (who forced her in the closet for safety while he rode out the storm sitting on the floor holding the door closed so his mom was safe) were rescued by a friend in the eye of the storm and brought , thankfully to safety. Her sons car was also destroyed. He had come to Fl to help his mom recover from hip replacement last week and her recent struggles with cancer.
Donna”s home, cars and grooming shop were lost in this hurricane. She needs our help. She has no where to live or a vehicle to drive. Her whole world is gone. Yes, she has insurance but it is minimal. And let’s add that it is time consuming and takes forever. She needs to be able to secure a storage unit, sift through the memories left and save what she can, and try to pick up the pieces.
I ask that you give what you can, selflessly, as she would do for you.
We love our Donna…,let’s help get her back on her feet., to secure a new home, help with temporary living expenses and securing a drivable car so she can get to her ongoing onocologist and hip surgery Dr appts. Thank you so much for your kindness.
