Get Well Jamie

My name is Anne Marie I'm fundraising for my grandson Kai's dad. Jamie is only 31 years old. Many of you will possibly know him better as J.D

Over the past 7 weeks Jamie had to have two emergency lifesaving surgeries. He has since been diagnosed with a rare form of voicebox cancer. Naturally were all devastated at this diagnosis and on 21st April he had to endure further surgery lasting 9hrs. He’s had a total laryngectomy, both side neck dissection, removal of thyroid and some teeth. Jamie will have to learn how to breath, speak, eat, and drink again all in a totally different way with a Stoma in his neck.

Jamie has 3 young children and bills to pay and won't be able to work for a very long time. He lives with his mum and she works a full time job. She also had a part time job in the evenings/weekends that she has had to give up to look after Jamie. If we can ease the burden on them even a little so that they can concentrate on Jamie getting better, and not having to worry about paying bills etc. His mum has adapted a room to make Jamie as comfortable as possible when he is discharged from hospital. Anything you can afford no matter how little will help in a big way. He's a young man with his whole life ahead of him and I hope we can all help him get there as quickly as possible.
