Help The Colson Family

Update: Ron is currently in hospital and has had the lung transplant. Now more than ever this family needs our help!!!! Please donate and share!!!!

The Colson family could use your help. Ron Colson has end stage COPD. After a recent unsuccessful procedure attempt, the medical team has determined Ron’s only option remaining is a double lung transplant. He has been placed on the transplant list and is currently waiting for a donor. Once a donation becomes available Ron will undergo surgery in the Medical Center downtown Houston and is expected to remain in the hospital after surgery for approximately two weeks. Once discharged home he will need around the clock care.

Because this disease is so debilitating, making even daily tasks difficult to impossible, Ron has been unable to work; therefore, his wife, Janis Colson has become the primary caregiver for Ron as well as the primary source of income for the household. The expenses are adding up and the upcoming cost will be heavy for this family. The costs of daily parking in the medical center alone will be staggering. Not to mention all the other travel expenses of daily trips to the medical center. Then the aftercare and expensive medication that will be needed once he is back home. It will all add up very quickly.

At this time Ron needs his loved ones more than ever to rally around him and give him the strength to pull through what he is facing so we would like to raise this money to help relieve some of the financial burden that will be coming so they can focus on getting their husband, father, and grandfather through this and back home with them. Any donations will be given directly to Janis Colson. Please keep this family in your thoughts and prayers in the coming days, weeks and months ahead as this will be a very long road but one that is worth it to keep Ron with us.
